So there were no kills day 2. What does this imply? I can't think of reasons that the mafia would not kill on any given day that they are able to. Maybe a more experienced player can give an example of such a reason. Maybe the mafia tried to make a kill, but never encountered a good opportunity to do so? That seems unlikely.

If the mafia did not kill because they were not able to, then does this implicate stalked people somewhat?

Thinking about it a little more, it's possible that the mafia attempted to kill an active desperado or a dying gay knight, and then conscripted them to protect their own identity. This person could notably have been ksedlar, which leaves me a little worried.

From the rules: "You may NOT conscript someone after a failed kill attempt."

As a more experienced player, I'd say that a no kill day is almost always a sign that mafia are not playing well, not that they are employing optimal strategy. It's most likely the case that they planned to make a kill somewhere, it didn't work, and then they gave up and punted until tomorrow. This has happened many times in games I've played/seen.
