He didn't mention destroying it but I'm rather sure this is because Erin didn't tell him she had an item on death. This Kludge should fix it rather reasonably without revealing, (well, even more revealing) that Dalton was Mafia.

By the way, Hassan destroyed the receiver he got from schmolly. Also, the Shi-ke/mchang pair was used, to not effect. And, 3 of the other 4 pairs have at least one half in the hands of an inactive person. So only one microphone pair is useful to the town.
