The idea is that the witch will be assured a set investigation eventually? Seems like a good idea; they'd have to know that each other were town though? Or would we just publicly say "town guardian angel(s) should protect player -x-, and a town witch should curse player -x-". Then we'd need player -x- to be town, pretty much? Seems difficult, also bad if one player is protected by 5 different guardian angels.

Publicly is less beneficial because then the guardian angel effect of temporarily preventing a kill/outing a mafia is nullified, since the mafia wouldn't target -x- on that day (or possibly for even longer than that, and try to get them lynched instead)

We could maybe have guardian angels protect the person to be cursed with some independent probability instead? That would alleviate the problem of multiple guardian angels protecting.

However, that still doesn't solve the problem of doig it publicly allowing Mafia to know who not to target.

I think the chance that a guardian angel successfully protects someone (starting a beef that will basically reveal the offending mafia at the end of the day) is better than the still chancey and less powerful effect given by public angel + witch coordination, given that mafia will definitely avoid the target for the day and probably for as long as possible

Maybe we can come up with some sketchy scheme for private coordination via people picking proxies or something? E.g. Every witch A picks proxy B to tell they're a witch and B posts publicly that they know a witch. Every angel C picks proxy D to post publicly. Then we match Bs and Ds up somehow and they coordinate with the people proxying through them to do this. Requires lots of people being not-mafia tho. But the existence of planeswalker means traps wouldn't be 100% accurate anyway since a PW can simulate GA/W.

So like the point is to negate giving the killer an extra kill and get a free future set investigate? It's not bad but honestly I think arranging this is more risky than potential benefit.

Er also you can actually get this with N witches and 1 GA. And this is *per day* since once they're in contact they just keep doing it.

Set investigations are actually very strong to be clear.

I didn't get it, what is the point of cursing and guarding together, if the guarded person survives a kill till the end of day anyway, and reveals the killer, and there is no point in set investigating the kill?

The idea is that the killer doesn't get the free kills. (I think that this is true based on the rules, anyway.)
