brunnerj: This is a mystery game, there's probably like, 5 different mafia.

(Pravi and Jason, trading secrets, with no other context):
Jason: You can cast this spell for .5 mana
Pravi: You are in this relationship

Jackie: Sorry, did you expect to give me this role and *not* have me try to abuse it? :P

Jason: How can we guarantee to our clients that we're actually paying the mafia?

Brunnerj: We need something to counter Jackie's OPness.

Rusch: Well, I'm a zombie, but it's not optimal for there to be other zombies, so hopefully I can bite people right before they die of something else
Like I want brains, but don't care much about what happens after that
Jackie: why is it not optimal for there to be others?
Rusch: Humans are tastier
Zombies aren't tasty
Jackie: ummmm
Rusch: Like I can also bite undead and it still counts
Jackie: if I previously claimed to be human, I retract that
Pesto: *has never claimed to be human*

I'm glad that I last-minute changed the zombie rule to only limit their verbal words to 1-syllable, rather than their electronic communications as well.

Sammy:
Hmm I think David is planning to bite me again. Hopefully he has some saving power as
Opposed to just being a treacherous lover or something
I'm probably being turned into a vampire or something
Probably better to go along than to try to suicide

Casey: Are you interested in joining a frosh gchat/alliance for the mystery mafia game?
Hantoa: I don't associate myself with inferior froshies
Casey: I'll take that as a no?
Hantoa: I am one with the upperclassmen
Casey: Can you give me a yes or a no
Hantoa: I have done early early sophomore standing
Casey: Hantoa pls I can't tell if you're trolling lmao
Hantoa: Tell your frosh buddies that I will hunt them down
Casey: Kay

Gurev: The forum thinks I'm a vampire
which is kind of annoying
now that I'm actually a vampire

Linus (to Luke): I want you to heal me secretly, so that vampire bite mobs can't converge on me and kill me.

The part about vampire bite mobs is actually so true...

brunnerj (to python): I claim that you're steamrolling the Minions game by being the only captain on the board that remembered to move their pieces.

Linus (now a zombie, to Josh): When are you next at die roll house for me to get you green?

"die roll house" = Random Hall with only 1 syllable words.

Rusch: I wonder if the undead hunters have the perverse incentive to make as much of town as possible undead to then kill it

Yep, nailed it. Well, technically the undead hunters all care varying amounts about human life, but Hantoa actually cares 0 about humans.

(The following isn't exact wording)
Josh: We need to no lynch every day. It's complex and I can't explain everything. But, amortized, each time we lynch someone, it results in 1 less human alive at the end of the game.
Luke: Josh, if you're lying to me about this, I'm never again going to believe you when you have a complex chain of Josh-logic... I say, this being the 5th time I've believed a complex chain of Josh-logic.

Linus: wait so the hunters are Hantoa and ObitoSigma?
Jackie: Um, those are the same person
Idk why this guy has so many names
Rusch: Let's just murder them, bring them back, figure out the other one, and then murder them both again

Rusch: Anyone know what the deal with the lizardmen are?
Jackie: yeah
they're pretty nice, been making deals with them
I won't say who they are, but I can probably have them keep us all alive
*elsewhere, at nearly the same time*
brunnerj: there will be about 1 undead alive at the start of day 5

Hantoa (regarding failed attempts to locate Jackie in Pecker): Ok I guess this is a good thing though. Because I've visited Pecker at least a half dozen times in the past 3 hours. One time, Rita was in the kitchen, and I felt so awkward that I said I was there to ask Avi a question about path-connectedness
And so I got lectured about path-connectedness by Avi and Maya for the next 10 minutes. Rita left the problem almost immediately, likely out of paranoia"

Also, I can't believe I forgot to post the following:
Pesto (proposing a future command that python would give him): For each goal g that you started the game with, let l(g) and u(g) be the minimum and maximum number of points you expected to feasibly get if you did reasonably well at g and reasonably badly at g, as of 20:40 on 2017-10-31. (I've made such a list.) At the end of the game, choose a random original goal g_0 of yours from a probability distribution where the weight of each goal g is proportional to u(g)-l(g). At the end of the game, let a(g) be the number of points the current game state would assign for g. This condition y is satisfied with probability (randomized at the end of the game) (a(g)-l(g))/(u(g)-l(g)), capped to between 0 and 1.

Python was going to order whatever order he was going to give me otherwise AND that, so I'd have to work toward both his instructions and my old goals.

The final version of it (to make the randomizing work) was:

Every time you order me, choose a random pair of a goal and an integer t between my lower+1 and upper bounds for that goal (that is, something uniformly from 1 for ritagram alive, 2 for ritagram alive, 3 for ritagram alive, 1 for biolife alive, ..., 6 for humans alive). Order me to do your order x AND have at least t points on the chosen goal. Also, don't tell what the pair is if you're allowed not to; I think that corresponds to you saying "You can totally trust me that this is actually random", which is allowed.

goal: lower, upper
each of {ritagram, biolife, ixa} alive: 0,3
me alive: 0,8
win spellcasting guild competition by me+laberca knowing more distinct spells than ixa+gurev, where dead people count as knowing the bigger number of spells known by someone on the other team if it helps: 0,0
1/distinct spell known by me+laberca: 21, 40
1/human alive: 0, 6

Wait, you estimated "6" as the upper bound on number of humans alive at game end? Lol. Probably reasonable though. Even though the Secret Cult *coughmafiacough* are sticking to undead for now, eventually they'll run out and kill humans, presumably.

Yep. I seem to have underestimated the good cases for both that and spells known.

Jason: After you bite rusch, can you go kill fischerj?
Or someone else that's not a zombie.

(Fischerj is currently a zombie)

(After Jason had previously denied knowledge of Luke's death)
Lisa: Oh yeah, someone kaboomed Luke. I think it was Jason. I was there. Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention.
Mollie (to Jason): Did you kaboom Luke?
Jason: Yeah.
Mollie: Why?
Jason: Why not?
Mollie: DON'T KILL PEOPLE EOM!
Mollie: Do you have an explanation for why you killed Luke?
Jason: It seemed like the thing to do at the time. Maybe it's murder o'clock.
