"The end is nigh!" "The apocalypse is coming!" "This is the hour of damnation!" Magical voices ring out, heralding the coming of THE END. Specifically, the end of the game. The remaining characters, Sir Nicoeus the Mimic, dledesma the lich, m2w the drow priestess of Shar, Lily Chen the angel, brunnerj the succubus, dcb22 the owlbear, Linus the dragon, and mielu the goblin gather round the monster manual, while python the vampire floats back to his coffin in mist form. Now, this campaign is over, and they await whatever will come next. Separately, if the game would have continued, the following would have been the next few day start posts: Day 7 Start: It’s that time again: the time for the sun to rise! Right about now, it should be peeking its way over the horizon. …Any minute now. Huh, the sun doesn’t seem like the type of thing that would be running late. And yet the world remains shrouded in a continual night. Something is terribly wrong. Day 8 Start: Just as yesterday, no sunrise comes today. It’s getting noticeably colder. Trees and flowers are wilting, not just from lack of sunlight, but from the frost that is forming upon them. Townsfolk in nearby cities are huddled in their homes, terrified of whether the world is about to end. Day 9 Start: The darkness remains, and the cold is getting worse. Some people turn to wizards and other spellcasters to artificially create heat, while others retreat down through caves and into the Underdark beneath the earth. Though, with some of the monsters there, it’s debatable whether that is really more hospitable. It’s apparent that life on the surface as we know it will soon cease to exist.
