More clarification was wanted on the previous re/un-clarification: the spirit of the rules is that clues for words should be intended for clueing the words, even though they can also do other things. Spymasters can become more 'open-minded' or 'close-minded' about clues in response to requests for parity checks, but they should be trying to clue the words that they find the connections for. 'Follow the spirit of the rules' is vague, so a spymaster that feels that another spymaster is violating this can have Mollie make a ruling on whether or not clue connections are legal with respect to following that "spirit of the rules."
